Who We Are
HempHaus™ Products Limited is New Zealand and Australia's authorised distributor for von Hanf® Hemplith® and Silentlith® — a premium European range of engineered hemp building materials developed for modern construction.
We supply architects, builders, developers and trade professionals with hemp masonry, insulation, board and acoustic systems that are practical to specify, straightforward to install, and backed by independent European technical certification. Every product in the range has been in commercial use in Europe for six or more years, with a full body of performance data, fire classifications, acoustic testing and installation guidance available.
Based in Auckland, we deliver across New Zealand and support Australian customers with supply and project guidance. Our team combines building industry experience with a deep understanding of hemp material science — so we can support your project from initial specification through to on-site delivery and technical queries.
Our Mission
We chose hemp because it is the only building material we found that addresses thermal, acoustic, fire, moisture and carbon performance — simultaneously, in a single material, without synthetic additives.
Industrial hemp grows to full height in around 90 to 120 days, capturing more CO₂ during its growth than is emitted in the manufacture of the finished product. That carbon stays stored in your building for its lifetime. Unlike materials that simply offset their environmental impact, hemp-based construction is measurably carbon-negative from the moment it leaves the factory — certified across the Hemplith® range.
Beyond carbon, hemp performs. Hemplith® Therm boards carry a European Technical Assessment (ETA-24/0170). Hemplith® and Silentlith® products are tested to European EN standards and classified to B-s1,d0 for fire performance. And critically — these materials are practical. No specialist trades. No wet hemp casting. Standard tools and standard substructures. That is why we chose hemp, and why we built our business around von Hanf®'s engineering.
